The Vision

A permanent home for the arts in the heart of Carbondale.

We are working toward a dedicated facility for performance, education, and gathering — a place that anchors PPAC's programs, welcomes the community, and gives young performers a stage of their own.

Concept renderings

Early conceptual drawings of the proposed facility. These will be replaced with renderings from our design team as the project progresses.

What the building will hold

A flexible, professional-grade stage

A proscenium and black-box hybrid space sized for student productions, community concerts, and visiting artists — with proper lighting and sound from day one.

Rehearsal & teaching studios

Dedicated rooms for acting, dance, and vocal coaching, so multiple programs can run simultaneously without competing for space.

Backstage and costume shop

Real dressing rooms, a green room, and a working costume shop where students learn the craft on both sides of the curtain.

A community lobby

A welcoming gathering space for receptions, gallery shows, fundraisers, and the cup of coffee before the show.
